Pre-Requisites:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- No prior piercing experience required
- Basic literacy and communication skills
- Willingness to comply with hygiene, health, and safety standards

Qualification
Upon successful completion, learners will receive:
- An accredited Certificate of Achievement in Body Piercing which is accredited by
Centre of CPD of Excellence - Documentation suitable for insurance and local authority registration (subject to
council requirements)

Theory Modules
- – Professional ethics and client care
- – Relevant legislation and local authority requirements
- – Anatomy and physiology related to body piercing
- – Skin structure and healing processes
- – Infection prevention and control
- – Cross-contamination and bloodborne pathogens
- – Sterilisation methods and equipment handling
- – Jewellery types, materials, and sizing
- – Risk assessment and contraindications
- – Advice and client education
- – Managing complications and problem piercings
Practical Training
Learners will receive hands-on training under supervision, covering:
- – Studio setup and safe working practices
- – Client consultation and consent procedures
- – Marking and placement techniques
- – Use of needles and piercing tools (no guns)
- – Jewellery insertion and secure fitting
- – Piercing techniques for:
o Ear (lobe and cartilage)
o Nose
o Lip
o Eyebrow
o Navel
o Tongue
o Nipple
o Other common body piercings (as permitted by accreditation) - – Post-procedure care and documentation
Assessment
Learners will be assessed through:
- Written knowledge assessments
- Practical observations
- Client consultations
Health & Safety
Strict health and safety protocols are followed throughout the course. Learners must
adhere to PPE requirements, hygiene standards, and professional conduct at all times.
